On the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, the One Step Teen Center coordinates a free food pantry for the community.  Thanks to a community partnership with Food Share Ventura County this program serves any family in need. We offer free fresh fruits and veggies, bread, canned food and non perishables, meat, eggs and cheese.

The youth in our teen programs also get a chance to give back to their community through service.  No matter how hot it is (and sometimes it is HOT) the One Steppers always have smiles on their faces even after 3 hours of serving food to their community members. It truly is a labor of love, and all who come through our doors can definitely feel the compassion being displayed.

• In 2024, One Step A La Vez provided 63,324 meals to 7,036 people within 1,915 families/households.   
• In 2023, One Step A La Vez provided 56,934 meals to 6,326 people within 1,709 families/households.

We could not do this without our amazing volunteers who spend their time, energy and gasoline bringing us the food as well as our community partners who donate the food!
