Summer Program Offerings

At One Step A La Vez, our mission is to create safe spaces for teens to grow, lead, and build a better future for themselves and their community.

Step Into Summer is an extension of that mission. By offering teens opportunities to explore new environments, build meaningful relationships, gain college and career exposure, and receive positive mentorship all summer long.

Through weekly trips, hands-on activities, guest speakers, and cultural excursions, we aim to:

• Reduce summer isolation and promote youth wellness.
• Build leadership, confidence, and independence.
• Introduce teens to higher education, career paths, and local resources.
• Encourage commitment, responsibility, and community connection.
• Provide safe and supervised fun that affirms every teen’s identity and values.

This program is built for youth in Fillmore, Piru, and Santa Paula who want to stay active, inspired, and involved because every teen deserves a summer filled with growth, joy, and belonging.
